Obedience pleases God. Those who love Jesus will seek to follow His commandments. Faith results in Obedience, Obedience gets us closer and closer to God and brings more peace and joy. If you keep disobeying God deliberately and live a sinful lifestyle, you cannot grow in God.

John 15:14 - Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

James 4:8 - Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, [ye] sinners; and purify your hearts, [ye] double-minded.

Matthew 11:28 - Come unto me, all [ye] that labour and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.

Grow in God by sharing the Gospel

Romans 1:16- For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Grow in God by being a disciple and making disciples

We are not called to just live, but to make a difference in the World, for Christ and through His Spirit.

Loving fellow Christians means to help them Walk in the Light and be the Salt of the Earth, along with you. You must not hold the things of the world tightly. You must be ready to give them up if God wants you to. Picking up the cross means, willingness to give up anything and everything you have, if God asks you to.

John 8:31-32 - Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, [then] are ye, my disciples, indeed;

Matthew 16:24-25 - Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any [man] will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me.
