Delayed Obedience is Dis-Obedience

When God gives us a vision that is not so comfortable for us, we tend to find reasons to do it later. We think that this is not disobedience because we are thinking of doing it later. A common reason to procrastinate and delay things is "not feeling like doing it". The Bible clearly says that we should not go by feelings but by the Truth. A person who acts based on feelings is the one who is most likely give in to sin, as devil can use feelings powerfully as a weapon to deceive. Self-Control is a fruit of the Spirit which would help you to do what you have to do, when you have to do, even if you don't feel like it.

Trust me, often times we won't feel like working on any good thing that God has placed in our hearts, when we are yet to start. But when you go ahead and start doing it for God and continue to progress with the help of God's strength, you will start feeling good about doing it. Often you will have to first take action and then your feelings will co-operate with you.

What does God want you to do today? JUST DO IT, period.
