Getting Things Done for the Glory of God - Biblical Principles

Are you a doer of the Word of God or only a hearer?

The Bible says that if you only hear the Word of God and do not do what it says, you are deceiving yourselves. Not that you will lose your Salvation by disobeying any of the commandments of God, but that you will lose the opportunity to experience the joy and blessings of doing the will of God and being fruitful for His Kingdom. Salvation is a free gift, and it can be received ONLY BY GRACE, through faith in Christ. It cannot change based on what we do or fail to do. God's love remains forever to those who believe and truly accept Jesus as their personal Saviour.

The more you hear and do the Word of God, the closer you get to God. The more you get closer to God, the more joy, peace and faith you will possess. You will also receive rewards in Heaven for all good things that you do for God's glory.

The devil is a stealer and destroyer. He would love to steal your God-given abilities, resources, time and all your gifts if you let him to. The devil wants to steal your focus from God and His purposes. But, with God's strength, you can get all that God wants you to do, DONE. This requires discipline, self-control, vision, planning and action, with God's grace as the root. Fruit without root is no real fruit at all. You cannot and should not strive to achieve anything on your own.

Nehemiah followed the below steps to get his mission fulfilled.

1. Prayer

2. Strategic Plan

3. Execute

4. Trust God

It is a good idea to write down all your prayerful short-term and long-term goals and the action steps to accomplish them. Have a planer, a checklist and then execute. Stay organized, because God is a God of order.

Habakkuk 2:1 "I will stand upon my watch, and set me upon the tower, and will watch to see what he will say unto me, and what I shall answer when I am reproved. "

Habakkuk 2:2 "And the LORD answered me, and said, Write the vision, and make it plain upon tables, that he may run that readeth it."

1 Corinthians 14:40

“Let all things be done decently and in order.”

Luke 6:49

"But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built a house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great."
