Attributes of Proverbs 31 woman today

1) She is motivated by her faith in God

Faith in God is the basis for the fabulous character and good works of the Proverbs 31 woman. An unsaved woman cannot fear the Lord. Fear does not always refer to fear of punishment of sin, but it also means standing in awe of God and His greatness.

If you want to be a virtuous woman, you must first have Jesus as your Saviour and then out of love and fear for Him, you must strive to please Him.

Proverbs 31:30

"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised."

2) She is trustworthy and a woman of character and class

People who have high standards of living are trustworthy. This is demonstrated by their responsibility and boundaries in every area of their lives. Aren't Christians supposed to be the people of integrity, shining the light of Christ everywhere?

Many times we sin by being idle. We must plan our time wisely for work, ministry, family, fun, rest etc. How many weekends did you waste by just lying on the bed or sofa and binge watching some useless TV shows for most part of the day? Think of your lifestyle and see how you can make the best use of your time for God's glory.
